Eva’s story
When Eva’s solicitor recommended coaching with me, Eva was in the middle of a very difficult divorce, after a long, controlling marriage. As we worked together over several months, Eva’s confidence grew, she was able to recognise the patterns of her marriage, and carve out a new life for herself.
Eva says:
“I just wanted to drop you an email to let you know a bit about how I’m getting on.
At the moment I am doing a 200 km trek in Europe - I am doing it my own, which is both nerve wracking and totally incredible. It’s lonely at times but the thrill of finding my own way, sorting out my own problems is next level.
I was a women who wasn’t even allowed to hold her own passport, I let him sort/arrange everything, well I felt useless and absorbed his stresses when things didn’t go to plan. I thought his way was the only way and I was rubbish at it.
I now know there’s lots of ways. I get there in the end, meet new people along the way and have fun. I do get lonely and emotional sometimes, thinking why me? During these tricky times I use all the strategies, or even tricks you showed me - if I was still with him I wouldn’t be me and I wouldn’t even know it. He still tries to manipulate me, shouting and trying to control, but I can bounce back and be OK.
I now feel I am the women I was always meant to be.
You were instrumental in this, I thank you every day for changing my mindset and encouraging me to dream a new big future. You are a life-saver.”
